When I first started to realize that I was queer I wanted everything to stay exactly the same: my religion, my politics, my worldview. I wanted to just make one small tweak that it was ok for me to be gay but keep everything else the same.
And what I have come to learn is that blowing open and exploding my worldview has been the best part about being queer. That learning to love and embrace and be proud of the things that used to scare me has made life magical and I am so thankful and proud of being queer because of that.
