I Don’t

Sometimes doubts are the necessary cracks in the airtight container of your faith. But other times they leave you feeling like something in your soul has shattered. The balloon you’ve so carefully blown up isn’t deflated but popped. The ground you’ve come to rely on doesn’t just shift but is pulled out from under you.

It is in this place that we are invited to listen to the wisdom of the movie Finding Nemo. As they’re about to fall into the belly of the whale Dory says, “You have to let go!” Marlin cries out, “Let go? But how do you know everything will be ok?” Dory’s next two words are profound: “I don’t.” In other words, just keep swimming.
