Sometimes I don’t want to do any work. I’d rather binge on Buzzfeed and spend the day saving the universe on my Playstation.
Sometimes I don’t want to exercise or eat healthy. I want to move as little as possible and eat all the pizza and ice cream I can find.
Sometimes I don’t want to leave the apartment. I want to hide and hibernate from everything and everyone, putting the world on pause, or at least the world in my head.
And sometimes I remember to breathe, finding myself present in the moment of whatever I sometimes don’t want to do. And I remember that life isn’t about doing as much as it is about being.
Sometimes I don’t want to do. But I do want to be.
- When was the last time that you didn’t want to do anything?
- What would it look like for you to be more than you do?
