In a world where we are closer to the person on the other side of our touch screen than the other side of the street, we must remember that these digital encounters are real encounters. They are the virtual reality that insists on claiming a place in the conversation of that which is real.
There is nothing fake about Facebook, nothing selfish about a selfie. Because every interaction, both physical and digital, is real and shapes our sense of self.
