Our day to day rhythms can leave us with specks of dust and smears of reality on our internal windshield, the unconscious lens through which we see everything. Run your internal windshield wipers now and again. Otherwise you might spend all your time so distracted by what’s already happened that you miss what’s about to happen next. You crash a car by staring at the windshield. You drive a car by staring through it.
