Being queer and Christian means recognizing the complexity of my identities and seeing them as holy.
God’s identity is vast, mysterious, and far beyond understand of what God means. Queer identities are constantly changing and renaming themselves. We are always learning what it means to be queer, lesbian, transgender, gay, bisexual, pansexual, intersex, asexual, and so on. Being queer is often vast, mysterious, and far beyond our current understanding of sexuality.
My queerness is a reflection of God. God is queer. And my queerness is sacred.
- What would it mean for you to see the complexity of your identities as holy?
