Posture or Point of View

There’s a difference between posture and point of view. While I can easily find myself in opposition with someone who holds the opposite point of view, it is our posture that makes all the difference. Even though we may not agree, when we hold our point of view in a similarly open posture we are open to engage with the other.

While I may never agree with their point of view, my posture at least allows me to see where they’re coming from.

It’s not so much about what you hold as it is the way that you hold it.
