When many so called pacifists speak of a so called pacifism I think that many of them are not truly speaking of a pacifism but rather referring to a shallow, thoughtless ideology that is justifying their indifference and apathy.
I call this a pseudo-pacifism which somehow manages to equate pacifism with a nothingness, assuming that the pursuit of peace is completely vacant of any cost, confrontation, or risk.
But we must always remember that the opposite of pacifism is not violence but the opposite of pacifism is indifference.
