Sisters and brothers, we gather today to rejoice in God’s care for the Church and God’s call to Jim Kast-Keat.
This moment is a glimpse of the connection that binds us together. We share one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one ministry to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. For this ministry God has given gifts to all of us, equipping all God’s children for the works of ministry.
From the God of creativity and innovation, the God of grace and peace, the God of love and justice, we hear the call to Jim Kast-Keat, a call to the movement of God, the creativity of the word, the inspiration of all people, and the restoration of all things.
To God be the glory for the building up of the church. To God be the glory for the ministry of word and sacrament. To God be the glory, Amen.
