Without A Rear View Mirror

I’m tired of the same headlines recycling day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, generation after generation.

If you can’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been, then apparently we have no rear view mirror. It’s as if we’re driving with our eyes closed, seeing every social issue as if it’s emerging for the first time.
But these spirals of sexism, racism, classism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and more are nothing new. They do not just affect some body. They affect every body.
And sadly they don’t seem to be disappearing as fast as they should or even could if we would only open our eyes to see where we’ve been so we can course correct as needed and eliminate the need for any more bodies to be left along the way.
