The Good News Goes Public

The Gospel of Mark reads like good news for Habakkuk’s runner.
The vision is made plain from his coming out of the river to his coming out of the stone tomb.

And this coming out, this good news, like the prophet’s vision – is public.
It is not just to individuals and insiders – but to whole communities and outsiders.

Through healings, signs, teachings and exhortations, Jesus goes public with Good News:
The time is now. The realm of God is already here. Repent and believe.

  1. What does it look like to “go public with Good News?”
  2. In your opinion, what is the difference between good news for individuals and insiders and good news for the whole communities and outsiders?
