It is often said that there is no such thing as a free lunch. We are increasingly suspicious that there are conditions hidden behind the bill. Whether it’s in the media, politics, finance, or industry, we no longer trust each other simply to give.
Yet the Church disagrees. The Church says that there is such a thing as a free lunch: the Eucharist, the bread and the wine, in which God freely gives himself to his people, as they sing his praise.
