I’ve struggled a lot with what it means to be queer and Christian. Both are parts of my identity, and they cannot be separated, even though some other Christians wish they could be. But I know that I am made in the image of God. I am a beautiful and beloved child of God.
For every queer kid out there that has heard from their church that they broken or sinful or defective, hear this: Our God’s love is bigger than the boxes we try to contain it with. God loves you exactly as you are, and rejoices in the relationships that you celebrate with others. For to know God and love God is to love one another.
- How do you remember that you are made in the image of God?
- What is a word of hope that you want to negate with queer youth in our world today?
