Less Interested In Being Right

There’s this compulsion in our culture, especially when it comes to matters of faith to be certain of everything you believe and to prove your theology or your doctrine is right.

As a gay Christian, it is exhausting always having to justify my validity as a follower of Jesus. But the Jesus I see in scripture doesn’t concern himself with proving anything but rather being somebody who demonstrates what it is to be whole, to be constantly in Divine Union with God.

So to be perfectly honest, I am less interested in being right and I am more interested in being whole.

  1. What does it mean to be whole?
  2. Why does our culture constantly feel the need to be certain of everything they believe?
