Identity or Integrity

Irshad Manji, the founder of the Moral Courage project, once said that your identity is not who you are. Rather it is what you are or what you’ve  been projected to be and the ways you’ve been expected to perform.

But if identity is not who you are, what is? Irshad’s answer: integrity.

Rather than an imposed and commoditized identity politic, your integrity is who you are.
