People say that the love of money – or greed – is the root of all evil.
I disagree. What is greed but the fear of scarcity?
Fear is the root of evil. When we live by fear we live believing that there isn’t enough. There isn’t enough wealth in the world so I must hoard what I have. There isn’t enough love so I must hide my vulnerability. There isn’t enough grace so some must be in and other must be out and God’s love has limits.
What if we stopped living by fear? What if instead we lived by love? What if?
