Hoping

I woke up this morning hoping that things would be different. And yet my feed is flooded with so many varying responses to the election and the results. I have to admit that I’m not fully sure what my response is or what it should be. I remain, like Desmond Tutu calls, a prisoner of hope.

And yet there is a part of me that feels naive and privileged to say that I have to hope. There are some who are deeply wounded & deeply grieving. And for whom hope is a hurtful and offensive word at this time. I can understand that completely.

  1. What is your response to the results of the 2016 election?
  2. How does the word “hope” make you feel right now?
