Here, Now, Enough

Mindfulness is an escape hatch from a spiral of depression. Breath by breath I crawl through the duct work of now – air in my lungs, beauty before my eyes, life in my body –  and emerge beside still waters.

I ground myself in the physical experience of being alive. I look with my eyes, not with my feelings, stretching into the freedom: I am here, now, enough.
