Space To Grow

My faith feminism began the moment I realized the Bible was not ashamed of my black womanhood. Not shaming Eve for weakness or cursing Ham to slavery.

My faith feminism found courageous women of the Bible who resisted oppression, defied social convention, risked their lives for others. They gave my faith feminism space to grow.

It loves nuance, thrives on narrative, seeks complex intersections. It desires equality, wholeness, rightness, shalom.
