I hate the phrase “Let go and let God” because sometimes I need to let go of God, or at least some of the ways I cling so tightly and insist so rightly about God.
I need to let go of the answers and hold on to the questions.
I need to let go of my faith and hold on to my doubt.
I need to let go of my certainty and hold on to my curiosity.
I need to let go of my autonomy and hold on to a community.
I need to let go of my conformity and hold on to my agency.
I need to let go of the God within my grasp to discover a God that can only be glimpsed.
If your God has no room for questions then your God is too small.
