Inability to Be Where We Are

Inability to Be Where We Are

The Fear of Missing Out is not an occasional phenomenon but a cultural reality. Our fixation on where we are not perpetuates our inability to be where we are.

We are pushed around by the notifications of technology that outsmart us. Every ping we swipe and phantom vibration we feel removes us from where we are and takes us to an uncatchable and untamable stream of digital consciousness. We dive into this ever-changing stream, hoping that the present reality lies just around the river bend, all the while avoiding the present reality that is staring us in the face.
