Fear Not

Fear not.

The phrase used when God is up to something new. Be not afraid.

And yet today, I often operate out of fear when I’m creating something new, when I’m facing the unknown. When there’s any chance of risk beyond my control. Scarcity and anxiety bind me to the place of my comfort. Of inaction. Of Hulu and Facebook and Netflix and Twitter and distraction. Because new possibility and new life brings with it uncertainty. Anxiety. Fear. But we live on this side of the annunciation. Transfiguration. Resurrection.

The ropes of fear and death and worry have been severed. And so we create. Beyond fear.
