What Eyes We Choose To See With

How do we see the sacred in every day living? It’s a matter of seeing, insofar as we are able, as God sees.

In Genesis, God creates and then witnesses to the goodness of that creation. God sees its goodness.

It says in first Samuel, God does not see as humans see, God sees with the heart.

It’s a matter of what eyes we choose to see with—that makes all the difference.

Because when we see as God sees—not by human “standards”—but with the heart—the sacred will be made known to us in the everyday encounter.

Who will you see today and with whose eyes will you see them?
