Missing Exegesis

We spend hours over the years exegeting our ancient texts. We poured over them to extract their truest meaning, born out of their unique context, brimming with transformative power.

We’ve done this work so that we might offer them in our own feeble ways to the people of our various communities.

But there’s a missing exegesis. It’s the complex work of exegeting these very people and communities we love so much, to extract the truest meaning of their lives, born out of the unique context of their stories, brimming with transformative power, the places in the world that they occupy.

So may we immersive ourselves in this missing exegesis.
