Embrace Every Moment

Some things are better in slow motion.

The typical pace and activity brought almost to a stand still, the blink of an eye broken down into it’s essential building blocks.

“Life moves pretty fast,” said the infamous Ferris Bueller. “If you don’t stop and look around for a while, you could miss it.”

I’m not saying hit pause, because we both know that isn’t possible. But I am saying slow down, become aware of that which you typically ignore. Take a moment to experience your inhale and exhale. Feel the weight of your feet as you walk along the crowded sidewalk. Drive five miles under the speed limit on your daily commute, present rather than pushed by the traffic around you.

You might not embrace every moment. But why not slow down and at least try to embrace this one.

  1. When was the last time you embraced the present moment?
  2. Why do you think most people find it so difficult to slow down?
