Paul Tillich famously once said that doubt is not the opposite of faith; doubt is an element of faith.
Because sometimes my faith can become such an airtight container that it ends up suffocating me. My doubt can be the necessary cracks that give me room to breathe.
I am who I am because of my faith. But my faith is what it is because of my doubt.
