Jesus offers us direction, not directions.
What he’s all about is not a list of rules we must follow so God likes us.
But what Jesus is all about is helping us participate in God’s story, of helping us fulfill our creational purpose and identity as humans, of helping us orient ourselves towards the Kingdom of God, directing all that we are towards hope, towards joy, peace, and love.
