Years To Deconstruct

I Kissed Dating Goodbye teaches that if you really love God and want to stay pure then kissing is something that you’ll save for marriage.

I followed this rule all through high school and college and it made me super judgmental. Thinking this way led me to believe that my peers who were kissing or physically affectionate with one another didn’t really love God and didn’t really care about staying sexually pure. And it made me very prideful about my own lack of sexual experience.

This mindset harmed my friendships in a lot of ways and took me years to deconstruct.

  1. Did you or anyone you know kiss dating goodbye?
  2. What was your experience with kissing and physical intimacy when you were younger?
