Cynicism

We live in an age where cynicism is the common language.

I don’t have time for cynical, especially cynical Christianity. I have time for drawing near to Jesus and his ragtag group of dirty saints and learning their vocabulary and their accents.

For at the end of all things, at the wrap up of this cosmic mystery, just you wait. We’ll all be dancing. And we will all be speaking in the same tongue.

I can’t be cynical with that perspective.

  • Love the sentiments about cynicism (and need to hear that critique from time to time). But I am uncomfortable with the “we will all be speaking in the same tongue” part.
