Lately I’ve heard a lot of people talk about cynicism as if it’s being brave, like it takes courage to be realistic, to see things in the worst possible light. And I reject that premise.
See, I think courage is daring to believe in something that you cannot see, daring to trust and hope for a future that’s not yet here. That takes courage. That is truly brave. And might I add that it is far more rewarding then the path of cynicism.
