If I Only Had a Brain

In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy rescues the Scarecrow from the stick that he was placed upon by the Munchkin farmers. After he is down he inquires on where she is headed and asks if he can join he because he would like to ask the great wizard for a brain.

You see, the Scarecrow has been taught that he is not able to think but the very way that he can reason about how to get a brain testifies to the fact that he can already think.
This is how ideology works for we are taught to ask others for something that we already have.
