A Body Is Not Who I Am

You know, it’s disheartening to me that, so often in the world and even in the church, bodies are often so demonized.

They’re not enough. They’re too much. Ugly, evil, shameful, scary, and it’s just a constant battle, especially as a woman of me just wanting to shout, a body is not who I am, a body is what I have.

And yes, it’s a part of me and it’s beautiful, but it does not define me, because only my character can do that.
