Stanley Hauerwas says, “War is the great liturgical alternative to the eucharist.” The eucharist being about Jesus on the cross who dies for enemies, the very thing the prophets had in mind when swords would become plowshares.
You see, the prophets have a better world in mind, Jesus has a better world in mind, a world that will be here when Jesus returns but it’s a world that we’re summoned into today.
Gardening tools can be made of guns, bombs can create hammers and nails. And this is what RAWTools is up to. RAWtools wants to create a better world in the midst of this one.
