God is the cosmic Alfred Pennyworth, reaching a hand down to an ever-stumbling creation, lovingly asking, “Why do we fall down?” and answering, “So we might learn to pick ourselves up.”
I believe God is always there in the hands and faces of the people around us, helping us to our feet, present with every fall and rise, every moment of breaking and building, curse and blessing, suffering and celebrating wrought with our lives.
