Absurdity Is King

Here’s the problem: the individual searches for meaning but the universe is meaningless. Thus we get the absurd.

Classically we have three ways to resolve this dilemma: suicide, belief in the transcendent, or accept the absurd and live in spite of it.

I like the last two a lot, but I’ll add one more.

How about we stop slicing up the world into meaningful humanity and meaningless nature, ignore the value and significance of animals other than ourselves.

Camus was right. Absurdity is king. But love saves us from it.
