So Abram Went

So Abram went. These seemingly anticlimactic words are a fundamental shift in the story of a family, a tribe, a nation, a world. In a culture where your life exists within the confines of your familial city limits, leaving town to follow the voice that might just be in your head is a pretty big deal.

So Abram went, entering the world beyond the self imposed wall, coloring outside the lines, only to find God and life and meaning out of bounds. Because the egalitarian Spirit of God that is this community of humanity knows no limit and can be found regardless of the boundaries we create, impose, and perpetuate.

So Abram went. So you should too.
